Watch “The Block” get built! On July 12, 2010, a video camera was installed on the Waterfront Place building in downtown Peoria to record construction of the Peoria Riverfront Museum and Caterpillar Visitors Center. The camera was provided as a public service by IT360. Now, you can watch a time-lapse video featuring two years of construction boiled down to four-and-a-half minutes.

Midstate College Focus Forward CI has launched a new website, focusforwardci.com, which aims to increase community involvement in regional economic development. The site will be used to communicate information regarding the latest collaborative efforts taking place in Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford and Mason counties. Next week, each of the four counties will hold asset-mapping forums in order to uncover and share the unique, indigenous assets and resources in Greater Peoria. For a list of locations and times, visit focusforwardci.com and click on “Upcoming Events.”
