As assistant vice president and corporate loan review specialist at Morton Community Bank, Kyle W. King analyzes corporate loans for performance and solvency, identifies strengths and weaknesses for businesses against industry standards, and provides detailed reports to the board of directors for monitoring the risk and overall soundness of the bank’s commercial loan portfolio.

King has advanced quickly in his career due to his hard work, flexibility and ability to forge strong personal relationships. When the bank had a need for a mortgage lender, he stepped in to fill the void, and when a tornado struck Washington in 2013, he helped run the home disaster recovery process, assisting customers in getting their homes rebuilt in a timely manner. To this day, he remains a leading expert for the bank on insurance claim losses on personal residences.

In addition, King puts his financial acumen to use as school treasurer for East Peoria Community High School District 309, Creve Coeur School District 76 and Robein School District 85. He is also treasurer and past president of the Kiwanis Club of East Peoria, helping to raise $40,000 for programs serving area children. He is a founding board member of the East Peoria Community High School Academic Hall of Fame Committee and vice chair of the Young Professionals of Greater Peoria. He has also served as chairman of the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and as treasurer of multiple scholarship funds.

In 2011, King was honored by the bank for his work developing new forms for commercial applications. Similarly, he was recently recognized for developing a new, user-friendly personal financial statement form for customer use throughout the organization. He is a three-time Kiwanian of the Year and 2015 recipient of the East Peoria Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year Award.

In his free time, King is heavily involved with Corn Stock Theatre, Peoria Players Theatre and Eastlight Theatre, where he served as director for the 2016-17 production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. He also enjoys playing volleyball, golf and most other sports. iBi
