Four years ago, Kelly Donnelly relocated to the Peoria area to accept a position as director of membership engagement with the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce. She quickly earned the respect of her peers and Chamber leadership with her professionalism managing all aspects of membership retention, including community relations, engagement and outreach. She assists in the development of community events and member opportunities, and coordinates internal functions such as team-building exercises, staff recognition celebrations, charitable activities and socials. She also provides support for the Board of Directors and Executive Committee by taking minutes, coordinating meetings, and assisting with projects and events.

Passionate about the arts, Donnelly is a board member for ArtsPartners of Central Illinois, working diligently to ensure the organization achieves its mission of building awareness and strengthening the arts for central Illinois. She serves on The Business of Art Committee—a daylong event designed to connect entrepreneurial artists with professionals who can help them navigate the world of business. Utilizing her business relationships, she works to bring in business leaders to speak at the conference and assist artists in establishing or enhancing their businesses. She also provides volunteer support for ArtsPartners programs such as IGNITE Peoria and Sculpture Walk Peoria.

An active member of the Rotary Club of Peoria, Donnelly co-chairs their Membership Engagement Committee, providing a “Rotary 101” service to assist members in participation and engagement opportunities. She is a 2015 graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School and recently completed the Institute for Organization Management, a professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in international management, and a master’s degree in organization management from Ashford University. iBi
